Dr. Gerard R. Marty received his B.S. from the University of Illinois in 1979 and his M.S. from the University of Wisconsin in 1981. He received his M.D. from the University of Illinois in 1985 and completed his Orthopedic Surgery Residency at Northwestern University in 1990. He continued his program at Shriner's Hospital in Los Angeles, California where he achieved a Fellowship in Pediatric Orthopedics in 1991. Dr. Marty joined Northwest Orthopedic Surgery, S.C. in 1991 and remains an Assistant Professor of Clinical Orthopaedic Surgery at Northwestern University. In addition to his relationship as a member of the staff of Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, Dr. Marty is also an attending physician at Children's Memorial Hospital and a consulting physician at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago. He is a member of the Chicago Medical Society, the Illinois State Medical Society and the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. Dr. Marty practices General Orthopedic Surgery with an emphasis in Pediatric Orthopedic illness and injury. When not attending to his many pediatric patients, Dr. Marty enjoys spending time with his family, playing basketball and golf. |
